Description
Balakirev is an extraordinary iris-centered composition inspired by the complexity and beauty of Mily Balakirev’s music. At its core lies an exceptionally high concentration of Florentine iris and orris extracts, creating an intensely powdery, creamy, and earthy character. Bergamot opens the fragrance with a fresh citrus brightness, contrasted by aromatic oregano and the warm spice of pimento. A lavish floral heart of Taif rose, gardenia, jasmine CO₂, jasmine sambac, ylang-ylang, lavender, and lily of the valley is softened by the delicate fruitiness of peach. In the base, Filipino oud, musk, ambergris, leather, sandalwood, and vanilla surround the iris with woody, animalic, and subtly smoky depth. Rich, powdery, floral, and deeply textured, Balakirev is an unconventional interpretation of iris with a distinctly Oriental character.
