Ulanbataar

Description
Ulanbataar is a rich and complex oriental fougère built around an exceptionally generous amount of ambergris, which remains a defining presence throughout the fragrance. The opening combines aromatic lavender with bright citrus, cumin, and clove, creating a fresh yet intensely spicy introduction. Tobacco emerges at the heart alongside powdery iris, rose geranium, and sage, gradually giving the composition a warmer and more textured character. In the base, ambergris is surrounded by sandalwood, guaiacwood, patchouli, frankincense, myrrh, opoponax, tonka bean, vanilla, and musk. The result is an intricate interplay of salty-mineral ambergris, aromatic herbs, warm tobacco, smoky resins, woods, and subtle animalic depth. Spicy, smoky, woody, and deeply balsamic, Ulanbataar is a distinctive interpretation of the classic fougère enriched with some of traditional perfumery’s most characterful materials.
